Product Certification for Composability

Product Composition

Material: Cornstarch, PLA, PBAT

Appearance: Natural, Transparent, Translucent and Opaque appearance.

Corn Starch: Corn starch, maize starch, or corn flour is the starch derived from corn grain. The starch is obtained from the endosperm of the kernel.

PLA (Poly Lactic Acid): Mostly known as PLA, is a polymer made from renewable resources. Contrary to other thermoplastics which are petroleum-based, some of the raw materials used for PLA’s production include corn starch, tapioca roots, or sugarcane.

PBAT: Poly butylene adipate-co-terephthalate is a biodegradable random copolymer, specifically a co polyester of adipic acid, 1,4-butanediol and terephthalic acid (from dimethyl terephthalate).

Packaging and Storage

All the bio-bags are packaged in a carton box. Temperatures during transportation and storage may not exceed 50°C at anytime. Changes in moisture content (either loss or gain depending on atmospheric conditions) should be avoided during long-term storage. If the temperature and moisture is controlled as per the details, the shelf life for the product can be from 12 - 18 months.
